Payment Security
For your safety and a seamless experience, all mentorship-related payments must be made through the UpMentorX platform.
Circumvention Risks
Conducting payments or transactions outside the platform (known as "circumvention") may expose you to risks and violate our Terms of Service.
Loss of Protection
It may also limit your access to secure payment protection, verified records, and platform support.
External Communication Permitted
You are welcome to communicate with your mentor externally (via email, Slack, or LinkedIn) for coordination or discussion, but all billing, booking, and payment activities must remain on the platform for your protection.
UpMentorX promotes a community built on trust, professionalism, and respect.
Professional Communication
Communicate respectfully and professionally with mentors.
Respectful Behavior
Avoid harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior.
Constructive Engagement
Provide honest feedback and engage constructively.
Violation Consequences
Violation of this Code of Conduct may lead to temporary or permanent suspension from the platform.
Additional Charges
An additional 18% GST (Goods and Services Tax) and a 2% Razorpay processing fee will be applied to the session fee.
Example: If a session is priced at ₹1,000, the total amount payable will be ₹1,000 + ₹180 (GST) + ₹20 (processing fee) = ₹1,200.
Automatic Refund:
You will receive an automatic refund if you cancel your subscription within 24 hours of booking.
Refunds can be requested if:
The mentor is unresponsive for more than 7 days after follow-up.
There is major misconduct, breach of trust, or harassment by the mentor.
Refunds are NOT applicable for:
Dissatisfaction with results or unmet personal goals if services were delivered.
Transactions older than 30 days.
Mentor Cancellation
If a mentor cancels a session, a partial or full refund may be issued depending on the timing of the cancellation.
Refund Processing Time
Once approved and initiated, refunds will be credited to your registered account within 7 working days.
Service Nature
UpMentorX provides access to mentorship, guidance, and educational services through independent mentors.
No Guaranteed Outcomes
While our mentors strive to offer accurate, practical, and valuable insights, we do not guarantee specific outcomes, such as job offers, promotions, skill improvement, or salary increases.
Your Responsibility
Your results depend on several factors, including your own effort, consistency, and application of the guidance received.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, UpMentorX, its affiliates, founders, employees, or partners shall not be held responsible for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from:
(a) Platform Usage
Your use or inability to use the platform.
(b) Mentor Advice
Advice or feedback received from any mentor.
(c) Actions Based on Advice
Actions taken or not taken based on such advice.
(d) External Interactions
Any interaction between mentors and mentees outside the platform.
(e) Career Outcomes
Your own career choices, actions, or outcomes following mentorship guidance.
Personal Accountability
You acknowledge that your professional growth depends on your skills, effort, and judgment. While UpMentorX and its mentors aim to provide meaningful support, you are responsible for how you apply the advice and make career or educational decisions.
Maximum Liability Cap
In any case, UpMentorX's total liability will not exceed the total amount paid by you to the platform in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
By creating a mentee account and booking services on UpMentorX, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Mentee Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the platform.
